Squid reanimated after death

If you were looking at this gif without any back story, you'd probably think that the squid is actually alive. A recently-deceased squid will have enough energy remaining inside its cells for it to become reanimated after death if you give it a quick boost of sodium (Soy sauce has an extremely high sodium content). Basically, this causes the muscles to flex, making it look as though the squid is still alive.
